I think this web page is brilliant. We, of a half century ago, are caught up with the times and in full use of today's technology. Congratulations to the folks responsible. My hat is off to you. Allen Willhite

Just had myself a sentimental journey through this site! I so enjoyed all the photographs. Thanks to everyone who worked on it! It's just sad to realize that many of the people I had hoped to see are no longer with us. --Shirley Smith Beckenhauer

I am overjoyed to see so many of us survived. Looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends. I notice that CURTIS UHLS is missing from all your lists. He and I joined the U.S. Navy Reserve together in Oct 1960 and went to meetings together every Tues night during our senior year. I really hope he shows up. Here's a toast to all our teachers who have no doubt gone on before us. (Delbert) Ray Thompson.

I found a booklet, "My Classmates", from Columbus Elementary 1955. Thanks to this site's data bases, I discovered the following about Mrs. Farber, Mrs. Lindsey, and Mr. Price's 92 sixth grade students: 28 of them are on the current class roster, 5 are missing, 12 are deceased, and 47 must have gone to another high school. We were really family in elementary school. Mr. J. Otis Scott was our principal. Most of us went on to Jackson Jr. High before CHHS.

I am excited to be coming to the reunion, I have not been able to attend any until now. I am sure you all look just the same! We moved out of state right after one year at OSU and only returned on some holidays. We now live in Michigan. With my husband, Ron's job we have traveled much of the world. Now as retirees we are affiliated with Communitee Bible Study Internnational (CBSI) to start Bible study classes, and recently we have been asigned to the Philippines. I look forward to seeing and reconnecting with some old friends, especially Allen, the first guy I ever kissed, Billy who I had a terrible crush on in Junion High. I am most excited about reconnecting with Joyce Wise Booth. She rode with me to school our senior year and often she would have to give the car a push so I could 'pop the clutch' to get my car started. I remember the laughs when we got about 5 of us in my little Nash Rambler with all our cancan under our skirts going to a choir concert somewhere. Life has been good to me, not easy, but good.

I would like to offer many thanks to all you who organized and ran the reunion. I believe a fine time was had by all and certainly that, in capital letters, by me. It was a real thrill to see so many of my friends again and to join in the celebration of our survival. May your higher power bless and watch over you in the days that come. Delbert Thompson (Butch to those of Elementary and Jr. High).

A large thank you to the organizers of the 50th reunion. I enjoyed the gathering and all the memories created. Every person there seemed to be enjoying the festivities and recalling old times. I was wishing for a tour of the old school; during the 1991 reunion, there was a tour and hopefully there will be tours during any future reunions for the Class of 1961. I look forward to seeing some of my classmates at the Capitol Hill Athletic/Activities Association 15th Annual Hall of Fame Banquet on 21 July 2012 at the Grand Ballroom in the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. I attended last year for the first time and was very favorably impressed with the first-class location and organization. Dale Durham

I just discovered this web page, enjoyed so much seeing some of my old friends. You all look like you were having a great time. Billy Maxwell, one of my first boy friends, drove way out of his way to pick me up for school, thank you belatedly. Judy Cooper, I dearly loved you, you were such a joy. Paula, you were always so beautiful and smart. I am raising registered spotted donkeys in Arkansas, love them as my children, they have made me a small fortune. Of course, I started out with a big fortune, no market for these wonderful animals. Great to see all of you. Kay Baker
